SCREEN ASSIST

Turn a selected screen region into structured answer guidance.

Screen Assist captures only the region you choose through the desktop Companion and sends it to the active session for question understanding and answer guidance.

What can Screen Assist help with?

Screen Assist can help organise coding prompts, system-design diagrams, charts, multiple-step written questions, and other visible material. For programming tasks, the session's chosen programming language can guide the code example. The response can include an approach, assumptions, complexity, implementation, or explanation depending on what is visible.

Image recognition can miss small text, cropped constraints, hidden context, or diagram details. Capture the complete question region, then compare the response with the original prompt before relying on it.

How is a screenshot created?

A screenshot is user-triggered. Opening the website does not start screen capture. From the Companion, choose the intended display or region and use the capture control or configured shortcut. The image is associated with the connected session so the answer can appear in the correct Web workspace.

Do not capture unrelated private messages, credentials, personal information, or confidential employer material. Follow assessment rules and obtain permission where required.

How should coding answers be reviewed?

Check that the solution matches the requested language, input and output format, constraints, edge cases, and complexity requirements. Run or reason through representative examples. A syntactically complete answer can still misunderstand the problem, so confirm the algorithm before using the code.

How do you capture a readable question?

Include the complete prompt, visible constraints, examples, diagrams, labels, and any language requirement. Avoid a capture that cuts off the bottom of a question or includes so much unrelated screen content that the important text becomes too small. If a prompt spans multiple areas, capture the part needed for the current answer and provide missing context through the available question controls.

Before triggering Screen Assist, close or move private messages, credentials, personal information, and unrelated documents out of the selected region. The visible region is the input; content outside it cannot be assumed and content inside it may be processed for the requested answer.

How do different question types change the review?

For a system-design diagram, verify labels, capacity assumptions, boundaries, and failure paths. For a chart or table, confirm units, axes, time ranges, and whether the question asks for description or interpretation. For a written response, compare the answer with every requested subpart and word or format constraint.

If recognition is uncertain, recapture a clearer region instead of building on a mistaken premise. Treat generated explanations and code as drafts, and use only reasoning that you understand well enough to explain or defend.

Screen Assist is guidance

OfferSteady does not guarantee that a screenshot is complete or that generated code will pass every case. Use the result as a structured aid, explain only reasoning you understand, and comply with the organiser's rules for external assistance.
